Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were spacious and comfortable but felt a bit small, with the bed located in the kitchen area. Although there was a view of the ocean, the room had a strong chlorine smell. The service was pleasant overall, with friendly staff but lacking local knowledge. The location, while offering a peek-a-boo view of the ocean through power lines, was described as magnificent and maintaining an old-time charm. The dining experience, particularly the coffee, was a letdown. Additional details include a grassy area and simple fixes around the property.
The hotel offers breathtaking views of the Oregon coastline, but noise from the road was a downside. Despite some cleanliness issues in the bathroom, the room had a partial ocean view which I wished was unobstructed. The service was exceptional, with the friendly staff including the adorable Onyx, the resident Pug. The location was convenient for exploring various attractions along Highway 101, though the peek-a-boo ocean view through power lines was a slight drawback. The dining options were decent, with notable stops like Grumpys and Cow Belle for breakfast, but the office coffee was undrinkable. The facilities were well-maintained and included a hot food selection.
